How Long Should Parents Support Their Children

It's 2008 and we are in a financial crisis, and the government is giving relief to the wealthy. If you were at one time considered middle class in our recent history, it may be about to change.

It will become a survival for yourself and perhaps your spouse.  But having children these days, is a burden more than you would ever imagine.  Not just to bring them up in a world with many faults, but just a hardship financially.  A family of one or two can barely survive the cost of housing, utilities, food and general necessities, not to mention the high cost of schooling needs and the children’s needs.  It is a struggle, but what do we do?  Most concerned parents do not want to withhold the needs of the child, but there comes teenage years, dating years and college.

Most people now days don't want children because of the expense, and some don't have a choice.  Then your kids have kids, and at this time many more children are staying at home with their parents just to survive.  Some get jobs to help the parents out, and never go to college.  It is somehow when you think of it an echo from the past, to the depression years.  Perhaps we are visiting our past once again.  What will our future plans be?
