When It Seems Like You Can't Go On

During our current economic crisis things have turned up-side-down. People who never dreamed or even entertained thoughts of going to a food kitchen are finding themselves in those very lines. They find themselves picking up free bags of groceries because they have no money. They had to make the choice of holding on to pride or doing what must be done. In a sense the current economic situation can be turned into an opportunity to make good change out of a bad situation.
Although there are people living bountifully during this economic crisis, some people have hit rock bottom. It does not matter if you had a reasonable savings at one time or you had a dependable job a few months ago. The bottom still fell out. That is when a person meets the reality of our times. They find themselves in stressful and seemingly hopeless situations.
That is when some people choose to fight the situation and use creative inner skills to get themselves out of the mess they find themselves in. It is also a time when people find out what their faith can do for them. In the long run, a person's faith gives them hope. It gives them an out for a situation that got out of control. It allows them to see the big picture and not just the immediate issue staring them in the face. Just as a higher Deity can cure a person when the doctors send them home to die, that same Deity can make a way where there seems to be no way. Some people call it a miracle or a flux. The people of faith know the source of the impossible change.
In the end, when it seems like you can no longer handle the burden that you are experiencing, find a source greater than yourself to depend on. That is what makes life bearable. It is what gives people hope to keep on moving forward when they can't see a change in their situation. They don't give up because it is about their faith and not their ability to see the change. It will come.
