Starting Over

President Obama is doing all he can to quickly turn the American economy around and back on solid footing. He has gained the confidence of the citizens of this country and pretty much the cooperation of the two houses of Congress. Everyone wants to fix the country and everyone has their idea of how to fix things. We know change will come in due time. But what about the individuals that have lost their jobs and lost their homes? Whats going to happen to them, who is going to fix their personal situations?

Some people will never recover from this current economic crisis. Some people will find from within themselves and their Higher Being a way to make something good come out of it all. There is hope for them. Some people believe before you can receive your blessings you have to release the grip you have on the things you now have. When you are in the immediate path of a crisis such as this current one, things seem blurred. You can't see the opportunities for the distractions that have your undivided attention. What do you do?

Now is the time to step back and access the situation and make a game plan in the mist of all the chaos that is going on around you. Focus on how you want the outcome to be. Do you want to remain in the same state of mind and be their ten years from now? By focusing and writing down a game plan for how you will start over, how you will renew your life, it will happen. It will come with persistence.

You will learn that we choose the direction we wish our lives to go. Although you lost nearly everything you owned, if  you think back and deep into your person, there were indicators that certain decisions were not the best you could have made. We could have ignored that hindsight or we could have corrected the problem before it got out of control and landed you where you are today. No one is blaming anyone for trying to fix something. That is what you could have been trying to do but it did not work to your advantage. Accept your share of the responsibility and then move on.  That is part of starting over and putting things in their proper place.

Starting over is a way to correct what can be corrected. It is a way to use past experiences as a stepping stone to a better life style. It is a way to collect data that you can teach others not to do. You use your life experiences as a teaching tool. Don't do what I did or you will be sorry you did. In the long run, when the country turns around, you will have crossed a bridge that made you a better person.
