General Motors Muscle Cars

The General Motors Muscle cars were not only powerful, they were beautiful machines. The writer of this article did a great job describing the muscle cars and their individual attributes that made muscle car qualified.

The writer brought to my attention the high point for the muscle car was 1964 when every division of General Motors produced its own version of the biggest and fastest muscle car. Thinking about and reading this article takes a person on a stroll along memory lane. Even today when one of those big beautiful vehicles roll by, they get the attention of people from that generation as well as the younger generations. They make you want to see them punch the  gas paddle and let her roar. What memories this article brought to mind.

The writer of this article also helped the reader understand the meaning of muscle car and when the first one actually hit the road.  Not too many people would think of a muscle car from 1958. Then there is the rival to that first appearance. The 1964 GTO is said to be the true muscle car. The muscle cars became popular at the right time for our economy.

They became popular when gas was very inexpensive. Those cars used lots of gas and burned it quickly. They loss their place of prominence when the government passed regulations controlling emissions and other anti-pollutant laws. Although enthusiasts are able to modify the muscle cars to met code regulations, the cars are still a beautiful site to see when someone drives a restored one down the street. They bring back good memories of an America from not too long ago. This article was a good read and I recommend it to everyone interested in learning about the muscle cars.
