Importance of Being Ethical

The writer reminded us that we have a responsibility to hold those elected to office to the highest standards of ethical behavior. They are the ones setting the laws that govern the way we live our lives in this country. If they are not true to their word or actions, we as a people are in a dangerous situation.
It is a great idea that the writer's website has chosen to be the conscious of the country. There is a word of caution that such a site must take into consideration. Their opinions are their opinions. The problems of this country and the leaders that administer the laws can see problems and issues from different perspectives and still be perfectly correct from both perspectives. If the site can maintain objectivity about an issue, they will be a fresh source of information that offers their interpretation of issues that impact the way we live our lives in this country.
Desiring to have a world in which we can trust our leaders' action is a wish we all desire. However, we are talking about people that have flaws just like the rest of us. As a citizen of this country, the reader may ask readers to become more involved with the electoral process and the actions of elected officials. If their behavior indicates they do not work for the good of its voting public supports, then we as a people must not re-elect them to office. That will ensure our children's future and improved life style. This is a great site for discussion of views on political actions and I would recommend it to others.
