How To Determine A Classic Movie

The writer of this article gave an interesting point for all to consider. Who is the best judge of what a classic movie is than the viewer? As the writer noted, what may be a classic to one person is a thud to another person. Whats important here is the writer attempting to empower the viewer of movies. Giving the viewer the power to decide for themselves is probably something they never considered. Great write-up!
I am in agreement with the writer about two of the movies that could be classified as classics. They are "The Wizard of Oz" and the movie, "Mary Poppins". They are movies that most American viewers can tell you about a special time in their lives when they first saw each of these movies.
To further help the reader determine what could possibly be a classic movie, the writer gave definitions of the term classic movies as well as presentation of the movies. For example most people would instantly consider a black and white silent movie a classic. However, not all movies produced in black and white are actually classics. Another important point the writer made is classic movies are at least 20 years old. That is a point to consider but just because the movie is at least 20 years old does not make it a movie that people want to see again. The writer opened the eyes of people and reminded them that they are the ones who determine if a movie falls in the category as a classic. This was an interesting write up and I would recommend it to others.
