The writer did a great job writing about baby boomer health concerns. I was able to follow the writer and felt I learned a lot about aging baby boomers. While most women could live to age 85 and most men could live to age 75, there are life hurdles that must be avoided. The writer gave good examples of some of those life hurdles.
Continuing to live a quality life style after the death of a loved one is a huge hurdle to overcome. Most of us have seen people that suffered the loss of a spouse or mate and the surviving spouse seemed to give up on life. This article touches on that sensitive topic. Good idea! Eating healthy food is a challenge in itself. Many seniors do not desire to prepare food for themselves and they revert to the easiest or most accessible thing within their reach. Many times this is not good food they need to maintain a healthy body.
Another hurdle is the danger of falling. Injury from falling is one of the major causes of rapidly declining health for seniors. They do not heal from injury as quickly or easily as a young person. Seniors need to be in an environment that is free of dangers such as slippery rugs or items they could fall over.
As the writer noted, baby boomers have a great chance of living well into their late 70s and 80s but the path could be littered with dangers and obstacles that could lead to a decreased quality of life or early death. The writer gave great information that seniors needed to be reminded of. I learned a lot from this article and would recommend the website and article to others.
