Focused eyes will be on the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. February 12-28th, the world's best winter sports athletes will compete for possession of the number one spot and receipt of as many gold medals as possible.

This major international sports event will be one of the best and most competitive attempts to gain world recognition. We know without a doubt, the competition will be fierce, but will  Vancouver's opening ceremony measure up to Beijing, China's opening ceremony?

The summer Olympics held in Beijing, China was the most mesmerizing event the world has ever seen. As a matter of fact, when the Summer Olympics of 2008 is mentioned, people are mentally transformed to the precision and color and attention to detail that the host country China presented to the world. Can or will Vancouver measure up?

The Beijing, China 2008 opening ceremony is something that can't be matched in this generation. As  much as the rest of the world would love to see another breath taking opening ceremony as Beijing, that was Beijing. That was who they are. If Vancouver's opening ceremony sincerely delivers who they are with flawless delivery, the rest of the world will still be awesomely impressed. The key is to be yourself Vancouver.
